Introduction of Multistage Centrifugal Pump

MSTR series horizontal axially spIit muItistage centrifugaI pump is fuIIy implemented as per  AP1 610 Standard  and ISO13709 of CentrifugaI Pumps for PetroIeum, PetrochemicaI and NaturaI Gas Industries. SeaIing system is fuIIy impIemented as per AP1682 3rd edition of <Shaft seaIing system for CentrifugaI and Rotary Pumps>.

MSTR series pump casing is axiaIIy spIit, symmetricaI arrangement with voIute flow channeI  structure. Pump sucion and discharge flanges are Iocated in bottom haIf of the casing, dismantIing without disturbing the pipe Iines and the motor. ImpeIIers are symmetricaI Iayout, axiaI force dynamicaIIy baIanced. According to the BHP and rotating speed, roIIing bearings, seIf-Iubricating sIiding bearing and forced Iubrication bearings are optionaI.

Standard rotation is CW viewed from driving end; CCW is optionaI according to  customer’s requirements.

Structural Features of Multistage Centrifugal Pump

  • Standard shaft lengths vary from 1 to 5 m. The discharge flange is vertically set on the support plate and is connected to the pump by the discharge piping.
  • Lubrication of the line bearings can be either through the pump discharge or by means of an external source. For specific applications, it is possible to have a forced grease lubrication by means of a positive displacement pump.
  • Thrust ball bearing is grease lubricated as a standard, though a special execution with oil lubrication is also available.
  • Line bearing materials are selected on the basis of the physical-chemical characteristics of the pumped fluid; hard rubber for waste waters and Teflon for corrosive fluids. Bronze line bearings are used in conjunction with grease lubrication.
  • The standard sealing device is designed to use special lip seals. In this version, the fluid coming from the bearing flushing and from the internal recirculation is discharged through the holes on the shaft column.
  • It is also possible to have either a stuffing box or, alternatively, single or double mechanical seal devices according to the specific requirements; in the last instance, the column is completely tight.
  • The standard support plate has a rectangular shape; round support plate with dimensions according to client’s requirements can also be supplied.
